Colour & Environment

The role of a garden designer for the majority of the public has only recently gained recognition and is, by many, still only partially understood due to the cut and paste methods of TV.

As people become more aware of the environment around them, the commissioning of a garden designer will become a more common practice.

A new health trend towards ''colour and light therapy'' will enforce its importance within modern day society.
The use of colour and light within the landscape and garden design historically has always played an important, but not fully understood, role which I am sure will be of even more significance in the future.

The future role of the garden designer will not only be to create places for people to enjoy visually and sensually but through the therapeutic application of light and colour within a garden design places will be created that can aid physical health and mental well being.
